ABCIC conducts studies to help understand the effects of climate change on biodiversity, agriculture and food security. The institution enhances the capacity of the local people to adopt climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies that strengthen the resilience of food and agricultural production systems under rapidly changing climatic conditions. ABCIC also facilitates the acquisition of environmental economic benefits such as Payment of Ecosystem Services including carbon credits, by local communities as a result of reforestation and reduced or avoided deforestation.
